Frugal Living is Simple Living

This page discusses ways to improve your family finances, by providing you with information on how to budget, refinance, search for low mortgage interest rates, consolidate debt, use coupons, spend thrifty, and shop wisely.

More and more women are making the transition from working full-time outside of the home to working full-time in the home while taking care of their children.  This is a big decision for families, and it is one that cannot be taken lightly.  It will take careful planning and preparation both financially and mentally.   It was a huge transition for us when we decided to have children, and I decided to stay at home.  We had a lot of credit card debt, a home mortgage, car payments, and other miscellaneous expenses that required two household incomes.  We made a lot of cutbacks, formulated a budget, and reduced our debt to income ratio and credit card debt in order to make living on one income work for our family. Here are some useful links and articles that are helpful for both the At Home Mother and "Soon To Be" At Home Mother.
